WHAT: Music, Bible stories, activities and more

DURATION: 45 minutes

NOTES:

*No classes on Oct. 22 (MEA).

*Children will practice for their Christmas program on November 5 and November 12.

*The Christmas program will be presented on Sunday, December 10, immediately following the 9:00 a.m. worship service.

Wednesday Education & WOW Worship

WHO: 4th through 8th grades

WHEN: Wednesdays, beginning September 13, at 5:30 p.m. Fall Dates: Sept. 13, Sept. 20, Sept. 27, Oct. 4, Oct. 11, Oct. 18, Oct. 25, Oct. 29, Nov. 1, Nov. 8, Nov. 15

WHAT: Speakers, service projects, activities and more

SCHEDULE: Pizza ($1 slice) at 5:30 p.m., WOW Worship at 6:00 p.m., classes from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m.

LWLC will host Family Night once a month on Wednesdays this fall. Parents/guardians will be invited to join 4th through 9th graders for pizza, worship and class time until 7:15 p.m.

NOTES:

*On Sept. 27, youth will package meals during the Kids Fighting Hunger service event.

*On Oct. 4, we will have a guest speaker.

*No classes on Oct. 18 (MEA).

*Nov. 15 is Mentor Night for grades 7-9; additional parent volunteers will be needed.

9th GRADE CONFIRMATION STUDENTS will meet on Wednesday nights from 6-7:15 p.m.

Regular Nightly Schedule:

5:30 to 6:00  Pizza served in the Life and Learning Center, $1/slice, all welcome
6 to 6:30 : “W.O.W” Worship—anyone welcome to this new Wednesday worship with communion

6:30 to 7:15: Classroom time, PreK-9^th

Family Night Confirmation class will be once a month this year—families invited, too!

Education Requirements for 9^th graders:

1. 12 worship notes—notes are by hanging folders.  *These must be done from a live worship service, unless permission is given by Pastor Jake to take them from an online service.
2. Earn 20 servant hours/points—helping during church services, community service projects, for instance…

10th GRADE CONFIRMATION SUDENTS will meet on Wednesday nights in September and October only from 7:15-8:00.  We will review, write faith statements and prepare for Confirmation Sunday.

Wednesday, Sept. 13, from 6 to 7 p.m. – students and parents
Wednesday, Sept. 20, from 7:15 to 8:00 p.m.
Wednesday, Sept. 27, from 7:15 to 8:00 p.m.
Wednesday, Oct. 4, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., guest speaker
Wednesday, Oct. 11, from 7:15 to 8:00 p.m.
Wednesday, Oct. 25, from 7:15 to 8:00 p.m.

Mentors: 9th graders will need a mentor this year who will meet with them 5-6 times throughout the year. Mentors cannot be a parent and are preferably someone who is a member of LWLC.  You will need your mentor’s name, address, email and phone number.

CONFIRMATION REHEARSAL will be Wednesday, October 25^th, 7:15 p.m.
CONFIRMATION SUNDAY this year will be October 29^th at the 10:30 a.m. service.

OTHER SPECIAL DATES:

September 27 – Kids Fighting Hunger, 7^th-9^th

7th – 9th graders will package meals at 11 Industrial Blvd., Sauk
Rapids. Youth will meet at the building there at 6:30 p.m. to package food.

October 4 – Guest Speaker
Pastor Albert from Higher Ground Church will speak to 4th – 10th
graders on the subject of diversity at 6. Pizza served beforehand from 5:30 to 6.
The congregation is invited to attend the presentation.

October 25 – Trick-or-Treating for Food Shelf
4^th  through 9th graders will trick-or-treat for items for
the LWLC Food Shelf. Pizza served from 5:30 to 6 p.m.
Trick-or-treating will run from 6-7 p.m.

November 8 – Mentor Night
This event for 7th – 9th graders will feature W.O.W. Worship and then time for mentors and mentees to visit.
Pizza served from 5:30 to 6 p.m.
